Balabushka Cues | Balabushka GB-8 Billiard Cue

The Balabushka Cues GB-8 billiard cue is a beautiful, classically designed stick. It is of course modeled after the original works of the famed pool cue maker George Balabushka, and is a member of the George Balabushka Cues signature series that is currently produced by the Adam Cue Company.

The forearm of this wonderful cue is made from birdseye maple, which features a light, natural stain. As with most Balabushka cues on this model you'll find four long points on the forearm. Also like many other Balabushka cues, each point consists of an inner layer with four outer veneers building upon one another.

The points themselves are ebony, and the veneers are white, red, green and then ebony once again. The four color design, utilizing extremely thin and sharp veneers, is very captivating and is one of the trademark elements that helps separate a Balabushka from something else.

The points on the forearm also have three mother of pearl inlays towards their bottoms. There are two circles, one on top and one on the bottom of a four pronged, directional diamond shape. Right below this you'll find the Irish linen wrap, which is black with white speckles.

The sleeve of this cue stick is made from ebony, and features 12 mother of pearl inlays. This includes both the directional diamonds and the circles from the forearm, however instead of the circles being directly on top and below the diamonds, they are to the side. In other words, four circles form the corners of a box that enclose one of the diamond designs.

At the top and the bottom of the ebony sleeve you will find two thin rings. A red ring on the inside and a green ring on the outside highlight the design, in the same colors that are found in the forearm veneers.
